Pope asks for Day of Prayer and Fasting for Peace

Our Holy Father Pope Francis has asked people on Friday, February 23, to observe a Day of Prayer and Fasting for Peace in the world, with a particular concern for the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan.

It would be optimal if any fasting done on that day resulted in almsgiving to support the work of Catholic Relief Services in both the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan.
